Andrea, Heather, Andy and Nick … as well as my sweet husband have been
my cheering squad. So I am in the frame of mind now that I can't let
myself down or my cheering squad down.
At the 1300 calorie level
that I am doing, I feel very energetic as long as I get a lot of
protein. Evidently, dropping from 1500 to 1300 calories has really
helped my weight loss.
Between the weight loss, the quality of
calories, and the exercise, I feel the best that I have felt in many,
many years. I don't feel my age anymore! Sometimes, I do get a
little hungry…but its nothing
that a protein shake, water, tea or
coffee can't handle…..along with a diversion and keeping myself away
from the kitchen. I can't believe how my tastes have changed…that I do
not crave carbs or sweets like I used to.
I do have the urge for sweets at times which I cure with my serving of sorbet from High Roads ice cream company.

No one ever told me that life would be fair or that I could eat
anything I wanted any time I wanted. After I topped 250 pounds, I
decided I had to "grow up" about my attitude towards my life style in
general and food in particular. I was so fortunate to find Rami and
Formwell. While it has been a journey of years, I've lost 80 pounds and
I am more "fit" than ever before in my life. When my friends and
co-workers complain about passing 50 and how the aches and pains become
more constant, I just smile. NOT for me!!! I look forward to feeling

“The experience with our group was beyond eye opening. The missing link for me was valid education relating to the effects of not only diet, but weight training and cardio as a powerful package. I goofed around during the holidays and actually gained 3 pounds due to a lack of focused commitment. Hey V,
I calculated the statics for my weight loss since February. While the pace of the loss has slowed, I am particularly happy with the fact that I lost less muscle mass (as a percentage of my total weight loss) than I did during my initial 12 weeks!
This is what I've got.
The fact that my waist/hip ratio is now under .8 is also a great milestone to achieve!!!
So thanks for making me work - even when I'm moaning!!!
I think I'd like to measure again at Labor Day. See what summer brings!
